DRUG MONEY USA PRESENTS
A night of refined live rap with...
What can I say about this rapper that hasn't already been told in the media? Hailing from the southside of Chicago, Valee is making some of the most interesting and unique (t)rap music out on the scene. Having already dropped 3 near perfect mixtapes, it wasn't until this year's "1988" (hosted by DJ Bandz) that had every major rap blog, critic, and fan claiming Valee to be rap's "next big thing." You almost certainly won't be seeing Valee perform at small spaces like the Blank Space by the end of the year, so go see him while he is in his prime and be the envy of your co-workers 6 months from now. Don't let me tell it - here are some necessary readings on Valee (including the feature article Noisey did on him):
The most legendary group to emerge from the St. Louis street rap world? Arguably so, considering 3Problems’ significance not only to rap music but also the overall culture of Saint Louis. Marred with a legacy of tragic violence and crime, 3Problems now consists only of Lil Tay, who is coming out stronger than ever with his latest mixtape “Still A Problem.” Do not miss this rare performance.
MONEY GAME BOO
Proud YSL member, premier Drug Money USA artist, and Funky Joint pioneer, Money Game Boo aka Johnny Bravo is Atlanta’s best kept secret and the breath of Gelato that the rap game has needed. Boo reminds me of a mix of Gucci Mane, ODB, Jerry Lawler, and Elvis Presley while still bringing a charisma and sound unlike any artist before him. Needless to say, I am very excited to bring this artist to St. Louis.
This 17 year old weirdo represents the new generation of YSL and has accomplished more in his one year of rapping than most do their entire careers. Listen to the Drug Money USA/Bromance collaboration mixtape "Young Slime Season" as well as Lil Patt's string of digital singles and get acquainted with the original Squid.
ALSO PERFORMING! STL's finest...
